Ladies getaway
Four lifelong friends stayed at Villa Bo Lanme to celebrate our milestone birthdays. We were in awe of the breathtaking views of the bay from the Villa. The Villa itself is very large, clean and very well appointed. The owner Chris is very thorough in his communication and he provides excellent information about the island and activities available. The pictures do not do it justice!. An incredible vacation from start to finish. Highly recommended!

Stunning!
The home is far more impressive than the photos portray. It is incredibly spacious with plenty of seating/dishes/towels for a large party. The pool area has 12 loungers and 3 sets of table & chairs, pool noodles and a stunning view. The bay is constantly bustling, you will hear catamaran tours and music from town. We spent hours watching the action from above. The kitchen really had it all, but I never found measuring cups/spoons, and it should be noted the coffee maker is a french press. There were minimal spices left in the cupboard, ice cube trays and 4 large ice packs. There is also beach chairs, baby equipment, an extra roll of toilet paper in each bathroom, garbage bags, dish soap & sponge. The voltage and outlets are different than the US, so plan on bringing adapters, there is a trasformer at the house. My two biggest concerns about the home were the hot water heater being solar and no air conditioning in the main rooms. We had zero problems with getting hot water or showering at the same time, even on cloudy days. The air conditioning in the bedrooms & game room worked great, but it got hot in the main rooms when there was no wind. Surprisingly, there weren't very many biting bugs, it was no problem sitting outside most nights. The home truly makes you feel special, we loved the secluded feel. I can't imagine anyone not loving this house!

60TH BIRTHDAY VACAY
We loved our stay at Villa Bi Lanme! This beautiful place is very spacious (and clean) and so there was plenty of room for our group of 9 adults. It overlooks picturesque Marigot Bay with private and peaceful surroundings. The host and staff were very attentive and responsive. Plenty of helpful information and advice was provided by the owner, Chris and also house manager, Pauline and Cornelius. Moses, our driver, was also available for our land travel needs. Wish we were still there! Highly recommended!

Five Star Luxury Villa
Not sure where to start with this amazing property. The bedrooms/bathrooms were huge and well appointed. The living/kitchen/dining area was also enormous and the deck looking out over Marigot Bay was our favorite place to hang out. The pool was another spectacular place to hang out with plenty of lounge chairs to seat everyone. We chose to use a driver (Moses) and he did a wonderful job as our tour guide. Pauline and Cornelius were at our disposal for any issues and also were fantastic at suggestions of where to go on the island. The owners were so thorough in their descriptions of the Villa, how to use everything and also great recommendations for places to visit and eat. We would highly recommend this property! You will feel like royalty!

Beautiful villa with stunning view
We loved our stay at Villa Bo Lanme, it is just as advertized with an incredible view overlooking Marigot Bay and lots of space inside. The owners were very communicative and provided many useful travel tips and information about the island. The only downside of our trip was that the hot water system failed and could not be fixed due to a temporary water shutoff on the island. We also found the beds to be too firm for our tastes, even though we generally like firm beds, just something that other travelers should be aware of. Otherwise it was a fantastic visit and the villa is nothing short of a dream. Absolutely breathtaking!

Forever Friends
We are a group of six, friends for 57 years! We go away together every few years, and Villa Bo Lanme provided the perfect setting for us to have the best of times. The villa, the location and setting, the owner, and an amazing support staff guaranteed that everything in our ten-day stay was wonderful. The villa is spacious and allows for plenty of spaces to share and to have private, quiet time. The wrap-around terraces offer beautiful views from sunrise to sunset. After our island tours, we are convinced that Villa Bo Lanme - perched above beautiful Marigot Bay - offers the perfect retreat for family and friends.

Absolutely amazing villa!!
This home was absolutely stunning and the views are out of this world! We felt like we were at home in this beautiful, spacious villa! The pool is amazing and large and they even had floaties and an outdoor bathroom to access while you spent time in the pool! The view of Marigot bay is like no other! The bedrooms are Lovely and the washers and dryer were an added bonus, we washed our clothes and hung them on a line they have permanently hung for this purpose! They smelled amazing after they air dried! The deck was beautiful both the main floor deck and the upstairs deck supplied wonderful views of the bay! They have a driveway with a carport that was a great add to the property to park our rental car safely! They have two refrigerators with freezers and all the amenities you need! I can’t say enough about this property! We were so sad to leave and we are planning to come back to Villa Bo Lanme as soon as we can! Pauline is a wonderful kind host and showed us all we needed to know! The grounds are immaculate and feel like you are in a garden! We cannot wait to come back! Thanks so much Chris and Liz for sharing your beautiful home with us! Shane and Tracy

Magical tranquil, rejuvenating
Loved this property very clean the pool is the best part as were the rooms the kitchen had every utensil you could think of very good quality pots and pans. There are two beaches one you need to walk to takes about 10 to 15 minutes down the road and then a path/Road to a private beach Rocky excellent for swimming with a small sand beach to lay on. the other beach you need to go to town then pay a ferry, to get to a White, Sandy Beach men will try to rent you a chair and there’s a ferry going through the water but you can’t swim out pretty far. There are many adventures in St. Lucia sulfurbaths, waterfalls, rainforest walks, farmers markets. This house was perfect for my six friends. We each had a private rooms with great air conditioning lovely screens, so you could have the windows open and comfortable beds. I will definitely return. This is the best vacation house I’ve stayed in.

Great house and location
Stayed for a week over Christmas. The views are fantastic. House is very spacious and clean. Very nice large pool, great views. I actually saw the literal end of the rainbow go into the water in the bay from the deck. Views of both sunrise and sunset from this house.

My husband and I, and our 12-year-old son stayed at Villa Bo Lanme for a week. We did not want to leave!! From the minute we arrived we enjoyed everything about our stay. Cornelius greeted us and showed us around the house, and we got settled in perfectly. Pauline was only a text away if you needed anything at all! If it wasn’t for our passion to do several excursions while we were in St. Lucia, we would have stayed at the villa the entire time and just enjoyed the house and the pool! We had so much fun hanging out by the pool, grilling out, sitting outside at the table enjoying our morning, coffee, birdwatching, and enjoying our evening cocktails. Had a blast playing ping-pong and foosball with our son!! The views are absolutely breathtaking! You can see the entire bay from the pool area and you can go upstairs and see the beautiful sunsets. There are so many amazing restaurants within minutes of driving and even walking. We chose to check out the Villa which was right by the house. We tried “the experience“ which was several courses, delicious, and so much fun. They were so close, that we called over and requested delivery to the house several more times. We went to Doolittles a couple of times…really neat and enjoyed playing pool. One of our favorites was Chateau Mygo. As far as location, we felt it was perfectly centralized to all of the things that we chose to do. Super close to Rodney Bay, Castries, and not too far from hiking the Pitons. We loved our stay!!

Stunning villa in a gorgeous spot

Ketan Henley-on-Thames

The villa is exactly as advertised. It is very clean, has great amenities, and 10+ people wouldn't trip over each other given how spacious it is.

The pool is big, and like the rest of the property, commands incredible views over the bay.

You'll also appreciate the phone with free local calls, as it can take a few calls to get a booking at the better (i.e. independent/non-resort) restaurants, especially Sun-Tue during the off season, when many don't open at all.

Had a great time at this property. Very spacious. Everything stated in description is accurate. Pictures don't do the beauty of bay justice. Short walk to village with bars and restaurants. Cornelius very helpful. Owners send a lot of helpful info. Would visit again without a doubt.

We loved our stay. The home was clean and the host was very responsive and attentive. Whenever we had an issue, we knew who to reach out to for insight. The driver, Moses, was very kind and patient. Pauline was super helpful and knowledgeable. Chris is well-informed and equips you with everything you need to feel comfortable and safe. I'd stay in the villa again in a heartbeat. The location was ideal and picturesque. In short, my time there was incredible.

Lovely stay at Marigot Bay

Debbie B.

It was a lovely stay at this house in Marigot Bay. Indeed, the views are spectacular from every room in the house. The only drawback is that we were there during the off-season so some of the places referenced in the listing were not open. No fault of the owner, just timing. But the restaurants that we did go to and the excursions we took were wonderful. We particularly enjoyed our day with Cornelius on the water taxi exploring the various beaches on the island, our dinners at the Villa and coffee, breakfast and lunch at Hurricane Hotel. We loved the little Cove that is just a short distance walk. If you are headed to St Lucia, you can’t go wrong with this lovely home.

Vacation in St Lucia at Villa Bo Lanme

Margaret K.

Beautiful property overlooking Marigot Bay. Well-kept; spotless; spacious - open plan [which I particularly enjoy]; bedrooms and bathrooms well-appointed; thoughtfully laid out - has a game room with table tennis-table and fuss-ball; type of board games my family enjoys such as scrabble, monopoly; ample supply of towels; modern cooking facilities/dishwasher/laundry etc

Pauline the property manager was very pleasant and willing to help at all times.

The property has a very pleasant driver with a minibus - connected to it- Moses, who was completely willing to supply our travel needs at a reasonable price. He was always on time. The property also has additional people including a house keeper, someone to manage the pool and another person to troubleshoot minor issues that may arise.

The property owner Chris Beeching was extremely helpful from beginning to end - advising , in detail, of transportation options, food shopping, immigration, making phone calls et cetera.

I am well-travelled - but this was the first time I encountered a host who took the time to create a binder filled with useful/thoughtful information pertinent to navigating unknown territory. Kudos to Chris!

I highly recommend Bo Lanme! Definitely deserves a 5-star rating.

Amazing!

The home is a whole vibe (beautiful views, peaceful, open and airy, serene, very clean). We truly enjoyed our stay. Pauline was very helpful and responsive. The home is close to the beach, restaurants, grocery store, etc. We will definitely be back!

Fantastic Holiday

Lynda H.

Villa and location perfect. Thoroughly enjoyed every moment.

Incredible views - Fantastic house!

Dan G.

Very easy to book the stay & Chris the home owner, is great with information and quick replies.

We booked our rental car through First Choice getting a 4WD Suzuki Jimney along with the extra damage coverage. The drive from Hewanorra airport is a little over an hour. I made the mistake of using Google maps and ended up on really bad back roads. Use the directions that Chris provides!

We bought most all of our groceries at CPJ and Massy, which are about a 15 minute drive from the villa. There is also Promise market, but they don't carry any beer or alcohol. Right in Marigot Bay, there is a tiny store at Mygo, but only has the very basics.

Mygo bar on the water is really great! Fun place, extremely nice staff and reasonably priced drinks and food. Say hi to Kareem, if you go. JJ's on the East side of the bay is nice and friendly as well. Looks like they had quite the setup, with a swim-up pool bar. Was not happening while we were there - not sure if it was the season, or just not recovered from Covid. There is also Hurricane Harbor restaurant, dockside in Marigot Bay, having really good food and drinks. A little more pricy than Mygo. Pretty much all of the shops in the center are closed - the result of Covid.

Villa Bo Lanme was incredibly! Every bit as nice as the photos. The main living room area was much bigger than I thought. We got in our 10K steps a day, just walking in the house! It is extremely clean and up to date. No problems at all during our stay. The salt water pool was perfectly blue and well maintained. There are blooming trees next to the massive pool deck, but we didn't mind swimming with occasional flowers. The outside bathroom has its shower stall filed with rafts and floats for the pool, and 2 additional as we always bring some along.

The place is extremely private. Unless the neighbors have a telescope, they're not going to see you. I would say this house has the best overall location and setup in all of Marigot. You have a commanding view of the harbor and all boat traffic in and out. You can also see the Caribbean to the south.

All of the windows have very good screens. We had zero problems with any bugs. There are many split-system air conditioners in the house, but with the cross ventilation of the 30 or more windows and 14 ceiling fans, the place stayed nice and cool.

Really loved the place, we will be back!!

Location of villa is breathtaking with postcard views of Marigot Bay. I can honestly say this was the nicest and biggest villa we have had the pleasure of staying in. Beautifully equipped through out and very comfortable in all aspects. The owners could not have been more helpful and informative, my sincere thanks for all the superb information and care given before during and after the stay. Go ahead and book without any reservations as you will not be disappointed. We will return.

Beautiful House and view!

Villa Bo Lanme was everything we hoped it would be from beginning to end. The owners communicated and shared so much useful information before our trip. Chris always got right back to me to answer any questions. Pauline and Cornelius arranged for Moses to pick us up from the airport. It was a great choice to not have to worry about navigating the roads after a long day of travel. The house is exactly as described. Waking up to a beautiful sunrise over the bay was amazing. Everything was in working order. The pool was a great way to cool off after a day of adventures. If you rent a car don't bother paying for a GPS, it will get you lost! Our phones did a much better job of directing us. The roads are steep and narrow but doable if you stay on the main roads and are a confident driver. Most of our excursions to see the island were about an hour away. The Rainforest Adventure was well organized and fun. We also used Holiday Horse Riding for a ride down to a beach and "swimming" with the horses. Fidel is the owner and such a great person and the horses are well cared for. We went snorkelling with Dive Fair Helen which is right in Marigot Bay. Nice trip and they provided a good lunch on board. I wish we had booked a couple more nights because there was so much more to experience on the island. Our trip was mid March and the weather was perfect. There was always a nice breeze to keep us cool up at the house. We never needed the a/c.

From owners to staff everyone was A++. Highly recommended. No need for AC as temp was perfect. Lots of rain, wind, which passed very quickly and back to sunshine. House very spacious and clean with everything we needed. The drive in as an adventure at night. May recommend Taxi if less adventurous. Pool slightly cool, but ocean temp perfect. Snorkeling every day. Nice culture and restaurants.

This was our 2nd time staying at house and we had a great time. One side of the house has beautiful views of Marigot Bay and the other side of the house has sunset views of the Caribbean. Chris and Liz are great to deal with and provide lots of great info about the house and St. Lucia.

We are so glad we chose this house! The location is perfect for traveling south or north to explore the island! But I was content just staying at this Beautiful home and enjoying the views! Our family loved the week here! Chris gives great information preparing you for the trip and Pauline and Cornelius were wonderful once we arrived. We hired Cornelius for a day out on his boat. He met us right at Marigot Bay and we went snorkeling and to see the Pitons. Stopped at several different beaches. Great way to see the island! I would definitely return to this house and location!

The best view on the island!

Katie M.

Beautiful house, very clean, excellent communication with property manager. We would definitely return. There was only 4 of us but the house can easily accommodate 8-10 people.

Wonderful property in a great location

Jason L.

A first rate stay for our family of nine people. A spacious home with room for everyone and great views from most every room. The home is well stocked with amenities for the kitchen etc. so we were able to easily cook meals when we decided to stay in rather than touring around the island. The host is very communicative and had sent an abundance of information to help us plan our stay. Information on attractions, dining, directions, tours gained likely through years of hosting and visiting the island. The only two minor suggestions for improvements are one having a better water heater as even with taking turns showering the best we were able to get was lukewarm water. The second suggestion is to have a sign or two for directions on the last few turns as you approach the property to help with finding your way to the home. Google maps worked very well though getting to the home and finding your way around the island.

Beautiful beyond words.

Robert B. Chicago

Beautiful large clean villa with amazing views. Situated so you can see all the boats that come in and out of Marigot Bay. It’s also just a short drive from the dock which has restaurants to choose from. Plenty of space in villa that can accommodate large groups. The villa also comes stocked with dishes and plenty of cookware, including a gas grill. I highly recommend going grocery shopping so that you can cook a few meals there and enjoy your meals out on the balcony. Pauline and Cornelius were great hosts and quickly responded to any inquiries we made.

Tina M.

I would recommend this house the pictures are good to go by but the experience and views are amazing. The pool is huge and that is what we look for when we rent houses . Chris is so informative and always keeps in touch . We where met at the house by Pauline she went through the entire house and is available if we needed . We explored the island it is a very friendly island

Beautiful house, excellent stay

Jill M.

Everything about this house rental was easy and just as listed. Pauline and Cornelius are lovely and the amount of information/guidance they and Chris provided prior to trip was awesome. We rented a car which is quite an adventure, and prior to arrival I didn’t quite understand the very detailed instructions and need for map but after arrival - those details were needed and perfect. The driving is no joke - we live in Denver and drive in snowstorms in the mountains and grew up in WI driving on gravel roads and this was still stressful. So recommend hiring a car for your adventures if you are not a driver who could handle any crazy condition. The house is beautiful with everything you need. The pool is great. Being close to Marigot is great. It was nice to be between Castries and Soufriere. Cornelius took us on two boat adventures which was great. You must go to Roots2 if you stay here it was delicious. Highly recommend if you want a family adventure! If you have small kids or are elderly/not well I’d recommend a resort though.

We have never booked a private rental before so was little apprehensive. However everything from booking to leaving the house was seamless. Pick up from the airport was excellent. Our driver was waiting. The house has the wow factor. I cannot imagine a more beautiful property. Our ages ranged from 8 months to 67 years and catered to our every need. The beds were so comfy, the space, bathrooms were just amazing. Local people looked after our every need and were professional and experienced. We only had a couple of very minor issues in the house. They were dealt with extremely quickly. We have every confidence that if anything major did happen help would be at hand straight away. Walking down to Marigot Bay was pretty easy for us. If you didn’t want to walk back up the steep hill there are taxis in the bay to transport you back. Excellent meals at Hurricane Hole. Staff lovely and very accommodating for our baby. We took boat trips to see the pitons, sugar bay and snorkelling. If we return to St Lucia we would be definitely be choosing to stay at Villa Bo lanme. We would highly recommend this property. All in all an incredible holiday. Thanks to Chris for the attention to detail in the booking procedure. Any of my questions were answered quickly. Pauline and Cornelius for being excellent managers of this property. Moses for our airport pickups and Joel for cooking us an excellent meal one evening …..and clearing up !! Thank you for an amazing experience .

THIS PROPERTY IS AN ABSOLUTE MUST IF YOU'RE VISITING ST LUCIA.

Right from the off, Chris gave us huge amounts of information about the house and surrounding area. Things to do all over the island, restaurants and shopping most of it reviewed through his own personal experience. It was invaluable and my whole family enjoyed the vacation. St. Lucia is beautiful and staying in this property compliments it.

Amazing experience from check in to check out. Pictures do not do this Villa justice. It is even more beautiful in person. House is very nice, spacious, very clean with the best views.

The Host Chris is amazing at making sure everything is in place for your arrival, and extremely informative giving you peace of mind.

The house attendants from the cleaning staff to Cornelius were wonderful. A HUGEEE thank you to the cleaner who went above & beyond for our group. She was very patient and helpful, felt like we were at a hotel. I would stay here again in a heart beat.

Absolutely no complaints; our group didn’t want to leave; this Villa made our vacation very special.

Best family week ever !!!!!

Kathryn C. Northville, Michigan USA

Everything about this property was perfect for our family of 13. We had more than adequate space for everyone to do their own things from fun in the pool, playing ping pong, relaxing on the porch with the beautiful view or stretching out with a book. We were given contact information for a driver and Moses was always available and willing to help us with complicated itineraries. We went to Chateau Mygo for a great dinner together one evening and used them on two different occasions to deliver food to us. Wonderful convenience !!! All of our excursions were wonderful. We used Captain Cliff Adventures for snorkelling and H & A Tours for the mud and mineral baths with a waterfall stop. For all 13 of us, Captain Cliff picked us up by boat in Marigot Bay and H & A Tours picked us up at the house. Great tours ! But, when we were not touring, we absolutely enjoyed soaking in the view and watching tour boats periodically slide in and out of the bay as a stop to see Marigot Bay was on their itinerary.

We also need to shout out to the owner, Christopher, who sent as much information as you would ever need and was very responsive to the few questions I emailed.

All in all, it was perfect !!!!!!

Beautiful week in Marigot Bay to escape the snow!

Jody P. Ballston Spa, NY, USA

Our family of 2 adults and 2 younger teens enjoyed a beautiful week in Marigot Bay after a long winter in New York, USA! It was still snowing at home in April when we left for our much needed family trip to the beautiful island of St. Lucia. The weather was glorious and we enjoyed having the windows open in Villa Bo Lanme for the entire week!! We did not need the A/C.

We loved the villa; it was so well equipped for a family vacation and didn't lack anything. The kitchen and laundry rooms were so well stocked which parents (especially) can appreciate. There were plenty of cups, dishes, clothes pins, drying racks, clothes hangers, etc.! That may sound silly, but we have been to many places that did not have those things and it is frustrating on vacation. There were only 4 of us, but the villa could very comfortably hold a much larger group.

The view from the villa was absolutely lovely! I've never fancied myself a "boat person" but I could have watched the boats in Marigot Bay for days on end. I tried to count the number of times Doolittle's ferry went back and forth! We saw so many rainbows and birds. The location was also a great starting off point to head north or south and we did both! We took full advantage of our rental car and visited many of the easily accessible sites.

The people we met were really the highlight of our trip. Pauline was such a pleasure and so very helpful. Cornelius took us on his water taxis south to Soufriere to the Pitons, beaches, cliff jumping and snorkelling. Moses drove us to the house upon our arrival! It was great to sit back and relax after a long day of travel. He also saved the day on our way home when we forgot an important bag at the villa! Gail kept the place sparkling clean. There were so many kind, interesting and helpful people we met along the way. St. Lucia is a real treasure!

Thank you Chris and Liz for sharing your lovely home with us. We would love to visit again.

Amazing house with Amazing views.

Better than the pictures

Amy W. Chicago

The view from the villa is stunning and the pictures just can’t capture it! The house had everything we needed and we especially loved the ping pong table for family tournaments since we had a big group. Cornelius and Pauline were easily reached throughout our stay and very attentive. The walk into Marigot Bay is easy but back up the hill is a bit of a workout so bring good shoes and be aware if you have older family members. We easily accessed the cabs at the bottom for our older family members and that was a quick and easy solution if walking was not preferable. We hiked the Piton, went to sugar beach and had a catamaran snorkeling trip all of which were great but you could also just spend a week at the house and have a great vacation!

Villa Bo Lanme is just as pictured, but the amazing view is just hard to appreciate from the pictures. All day entertainment watching the boats from, tiny to HUGE, come and go from Marigot Bay. Pauline and Cornelius responded very quickly to any questions. The house was great, just as pictured, and the pool is very large and could accommodate a lot of people. Much larger than others we saw in the area.. Five stars!

Staying at this accommodation was a highlight of our visit to St. Lucia. The place is spacious, modern, safe, and immaculate with all the amenities you need. All the bedrooms are great with balconies overlooking the water. The pool was amazing - perfect.

The views are out of this world. I can't imagine there being many better ones on the island. We felt lucky to stay in such a great place.

Chris was very helpful and responsive with loads of information leading up to our stay. Pauline was especially great: We arrived late on a Sunday night, and knowing that we would be hungry - all the restaurants and stores were closed - Pauline picked us up a bunch of groceries to save the day!

Great wi-fi, too.

Coffee maker is a French press. Fun!

St. Lucia is a tough island to get around no matter where you are, but if you decide on St. Lucia, this is a spectacular place to stay. Thank you, Chris, Liz, Pauline, and Cornelius!

Excellent 1st time to st lucia

Jesse s.

The house was amazing and communication was excellent even with all the covid protocols. Chris gives you plenty of information to make your stay successful and to make sure you have a good time Pauline and Cornelius were always just a call away. We had a little issue with an ac and they had it repaired right away, everything you need is there and someone was always willing to help if you needed it. We had a great time and will hopefully be back sooner rather than later .

Amazing vacation!

Adrianne K.

My husband, friends and I stayed for a week and had a fantastic time! The house is beautiful and well equipped. The location was ideal with breath taking views from almost every room in the house. Chris was very helpful with ideas, suggestions and detailed information prior to our arrival. Pauline was super helpful and responsive when we arrived at the house and coordinated reservations at Chateau Mygo on our first night. It was delicious! We spent a day with Cornelius on his water taxi and had an amazing snorkelling and beach lunch excursion. Would highly recommend it. Moses drove us to and from the airport and a helped us coordinate a grocery run. He even stopped on the way to the airport so we could grab lunch at Plante’s Place. It was delicious! Other highlights were a kayaking trip with Vanessa at Dive for Helen and a sunset catamaran cruise with Mark and Londie booked through Chateau Mygo. Overall, everyone we met was friendly, helpful and made our vacation a dream trip! Would definitely return.

Absolutely Fabulous Trip!

Mary W.

We stayed in the most gorgeous house in Marigot Bay! The view from the back of the house overlooking Marigot Bay is truly stunning. The sunsets from the front of the house were amazing. The house is large and well equipped. The caretaker was excellent. The owner was extremely responsive through the whole process. The location is excellent. Very quiet neighborhood and just a quick drive down the hill into Marigot Bay where there are great restaurants and activities. We rented a full day private catamaran from Hackshaw Boat rentals and they picked us up right in Marigot Bay! I highly recommend St. Lucia and especially Villa Bo Lanme!!!

Amazing Villa

The pictures do not do this place justice. It was clean comfortable and HUGE! We had absolutely everything we needed-even a couple of beach chairs. I would stay here again in a heartbeat-Pauline and Cornelius were awesome, and Chris, the owner, had tons of great information and tips that he shared with us before travel. Our vacation to St. Lucia was one for the memory books, in no small part to our home away from home! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Paradise!

Kathy M.Columbia

The villa is incredibly well built and the accommodations are wonderful! There was a lot of time and energy spent making sure each detail of this villa was built with perfection and the owner’s work hard to maintain its pristine condition! The views are excellent and the kitchen is a chef’s dream. Mattresses are good but firmer than I’m used to so they were a bit problematic for my back. It was nothing a little ibuprofen couldn’t resolve though. I truly only have one negative thing to say regarding this villa. That would be that it needs a coffee maker. We are from the US. and making coffee in a press was new to us. We had no problems making the coffee but cleaning the press filled with wet coffee grains is very messy!!! Would have loved a coffee maker! Putting that aside, we would stay there again in a heartbeat!!!

Excellent home for large groups with a Spectacular view

Gwendolyn S.

This location exceeded our expectations. We were a group of 5 couples - this home allowed us to gather together with enough sitting for our entire group, while also allowing private space as well. Our group decided to cook a majority of our meals- we did bring some items with us such as spices and packaged items that were easy to travel with. Chris will provide you with all the necessary details you will need. We initially decided to rent a vehicle- but Chris did talk me out of it - which was the right decision. The roads are very curvy and hilly with very tight conditions - some locations are close enough that you could touch the next vehicle. Moses was our driver and he was very accommodating. The view over Marigot Bay was breathtaking- the pool was fantastic (a little cool at times) - we enjoyed the excellent pool chairs. The home had plenty of windows that provided a fresh breeze thus we did not need to use the air conditioner. There are two beaches within a 10-15 min walk if you don’t mind the steep grade and uneven walking surface. Thus if you don’t like to walk you can call the taxi. The beach to the west (sunset side) is very rocky so bring your water shoes. The one in Marigot Bay has some seaweed and rocks as well, but areas with sand - you will need to take a water taxi to get to it. You can ask the taxi driver to take you to a beach with more sand for a fee. One day we did go to other beaches - we liked Sugar beach by the Pitons - it will take about 45-60 min by water taxi or 1.5 hours by land. Our property manager, Cornelius, was very pleasant and assisted with all our needs. Our maid, Gail, was very pleasant as well. We visited the local rum factory for a tour and tasting- I would recommend this. This home is nicely stocked with many items for cooking - we appreciated the nice size refrigerator. The time to this location from the international airport is 1.25 hours. I highly recommend this location you will not be disappointed. Chris you have a wonderful home away from home!!!

Wonderful getaway

Bashar S.

Very nice private house with wonderful views. Owner was extremely helpful. Could not ask for more.

Captivating View and Breeze

Jane J.Melbourne, FL (USA)

The view was Gorgeous! It's hard to find a 5 bedroom home with ample room for each guest as we had 8 total in our party. Three couples and 2 singles.. so every room was used. I particularly liked that there were King beds and queen beds. Many places only have doubles and they are very uncomfortable for couples. We all had a great time. We used the grill a couple nights, and made a trip to Pigeon Point. Well worth the trip. We hiked a bit at Pigeon Point; which had phenomenal views! We had drinks at a little outdoor bar/restaurant (only one) at the beach at Pigeon Point. Loved that place. The drinks were great and so inexpensive. Moses drove us there and waited all day. He was great! His fee is very reasonable.

The hill from the house to Marigot Bay was challenging. A couple people in our party had injuries, so they had to use Moses to go to town and back. Again, very reasonable. We all are on the older side, so if you are not fit, this house may not suit you. It rained every day (not long) and the tile is slick when wet and the road can be slick sometimes as well. The pool was too cold for us to use, It also was very breezy. That was great to keep the house cooler as there is no a/c in the main room. The a/c in one of the bedrooms did not work, but they fixed it promptly - much appreciated. There are no blankets on the beds - that was hard to get used to as sometimes if one person is hot and the other was cold. I used a bath towel as a blanket which helped.

We tried streaming to watch movies that we brought with us and downloads we had with us. The connection was not good. Kept stopping and just couldn't handle the load, even when just checking your emails. Worked better if not everyone was on a computer or phone at same time. You would need you own VPN to stream.

We also went to the private beach. We found the path after a couple days as we were not sure which one it was as we found 2. One went to a private residence (Villa Suzanna) and the other to the road. The one with a wood plank was the right one. Sort of behind a picnic table if anyone is interested. But it was fun to explore. The restaurants in our opinion were ok. I didn't find anything exceptional about any of them. I would say do not go to JJ's Mangrove or Bay & Grillz. Not good. The guacamole at Hurricane Hole was exceptional though. The house has a great layout, gorgeous views, big pool and was beautiful. Overall we had a great time!

Great Vacation in St. Lucia staying at Villa Bo Lanme

Philip D.

The views are outstanding and the house is fabulous. I highly recommend Villa Bo Lanme.

Our family of 10 (9 adults/1 baby) thoroughly enjoyed our time. The home is well well equipped, the pool is great, and there is plenty of room for all.

It is a 10 minute walk down the hill to the harbor where you find several restaurants or can take the very short ferry to a small beach (swimming, kayak rentals, etc.) ... also Doolittle's cafe /bar.

The walk up the hill is doable for most but could be a little challenging for elderly, though we had a rental car most of us walked to/from the harbor.

The house support team Pauline/Cornelius were very responsive and helpful. We booked a boat trip directly with Cornelius for a full day down to the Pitons/Soufriere.

Recommended!

Very clean exactly as advertised

The villa was absolutely beautiful and marigot bay was clearly the most interesting place on the island to stay. Close to several good restaurants with amazing views. The communication was phenomenal.

This house is perfect. The views are amazing and Pauline was very helpful. The house is very well stocked with linens and towels (both beach and bath towels). The kitchen is well stocked with all the necessities to cook at home. There was a wonderful breeze so we never used the air conditioning. We loved our visit. We spent a good amount of time on the beach where everyone was so kind and helpful. We hiked the Gros Piton, and did a boat ride with Shashamane and all were incredible. We would highly recommend Villa Bo Lanme to family and friends and would definitely stay here again!

We just returned from our 3rd trip to Marigot Bay. There might be one or two places to stay in Marigot Bay equally as nice. There certainly are none better. Squeaky clean. Absolute privacy. Amazing views. Large, beautiful pool. Spectacular breeze. Tons of room. Well appointed. Has everything you can imagine. I was a bit hesitant to book because the reviews were so good. They seemed fake. Now I see why. This place and location are one from a dream. I know a lot of very picky people and don’t know anyone that wouldn’t be amazed by this place.

Incredible

Erick O.

You’d be foolish not to rent this place over looking Marigot Bay. Stunning views and a huge house. Insanely nice property.

what a view

It is a splendid house with a wonderful view.

very good communication with the local staff and with the owner.

The pictures do not do the house or the views justice. Would highly recommend this place to anyone and would definitely stay here again. The owner was very easy to work with and Pauline and Cornelius were very helpful as well. The house was exceptionally clean as well. Definite 5 stars.

Amazing Property.... Pictures do not do this property justice.

Scott M.

If you think the pictures on the listing look great, then you will be overwhelmed when you see it in person. The pictures do not do this property justice. It is such a beautiful home and a great place to stay.

Beautiful home with great view-highly recommend!

Susan B.

This home was magnificent and the views of Marigot Bay were stunning. Each master bedroom had a view of the Bay - no fighting over the best room in the house! St. Lucia is a beautiful island and has lots to offer - and this property has all the comforts of home! The owner was a wealth of information on dining, travel, and sightseeing and his staff is welcoming and helpful. Special thanks to Pauline for greeting us, Moses for driving all 8 of us around for 6 days and Cornelius for a fabulous day on his water taxi, visiting beaches along the west coast. We enjoyed it so much more because of them!

Fantastic Villa on a Beautiful Bay.

Kevin D.

Villa Bo Lanme is a spacious villa located high on the hill at the mouth of Marigot Bay. With a great view of the entire bay as well as the ocean to the east, we had 13 people staying in the villa and we did not feel crowded in. The villa has a large patio and pool area with a nice breeze that kept us cool and we never had any issues with bugs. We did have some brave finches that were very interested in our bread which we thought was quite charming. A walk to the bottom of the hill gives easy access to taxi’s, a small grocery market, a beach and several restaurants. The Villa itself has a very large kitchen and dining areas and full laundry facilities so you don’t have to pack heavy for a longer trip. The property managers are readily available to respond to requests (Like when we locked ourselves out of the poolside bathroom). I would highly recommend staying here as you have access to Rodney Bay and Castries by going north or Soufriere by going south.

Just as good second time around

Second stay at this villa. Only came home today and missing it already. First time was amazing and second time didn’t disappoint. Beautiful views that you could never get tired of. It was so hot during our three weeks but the villa is so cool, at the top of the hill, to come back to after an outing. Pauline, Cornelius and Gail the staff are extremely helpful. Our 3 year year old and 13 month old were in the pool 4 or 5 times a day, as were the adults and great fun was had by all. Thanks to the owner Chris for all his helpful hints and instructions. Hope to return again soon.

Immaculate and Breathtaking!

Deb K.

This was our second visit to Villa Bo Lanme and hopefully it won't be our last. Whether you are the adventurous type and want to discover all the beauty that St. Lucia offers, or you simply want to relax and enjoy some breathtaking views in between dips in an amazing pool, then take a serious look at this villa. It is superbly designed inside and out, and the property is absolutely immaculate and extremely functional. This villa will serve you well for any occasion whether you are just two or three, or a larger group of family and friends wanting to share some memorable moments. From beginning to end of your vacation at Villa Bo Lanme, you will be met with nothing short of professionalism and top notch customer service from Chris and all of his staff. Once again, I highly recommend this property. I will be back!

Amazing!!

Sara C.

The pictures don’t do it justice, a group of 11 of us stayed here for my 40th and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Thanks to Chris for all the information about Marigot Bay anf St Lucia and for helping us arrange transfers to and from the airport. I hope to be back soon!!

Pretty darn awesome!

Ron Stacy

We are two older couples and three singles who stayed at Bo Lanme for 2 weeks. Have stayed at villas for about 20 years. This had more than enough room for us and is very clean. Housekeeper Gail is fastidious. The view off the porch was the most impressive we ever had! Marigot Bay is just lovely. Some of us walked each morning and met neat people from all over. We cooked in mostly; kitchen and grill were very adequate. Laundry worked well. Owner Chris gives lots of helpful info about everything. Managers Pauline and Cornelius were very helpful with some little issues and their response was immediate. For a quick beach, take the free ferry to Doolittles, use the lounges at the beach, (I don't think we were supposed to but nobody bothered us). Eat and/or drink at Doolittles (or not). The ferry driver didn't seem to worry about it. We did enjoy Doolittles for some eating and drinking along with their free pool and outdoor hot water shower! We tried other restaurants at Marigot also. All were good. Vigie beach is very pleasant with palm trees and easy in/out water. North end at Rendevous Resort has very calm water. Pidgeon Point beach worth the drive north; calm water and interesting history. Reduit Beach is THE beach on the island but touristy. Lots of stores for shopping and fine restaurants. We took a boat ride with Cornelius to Anse Chastenet for lunch there and some good snorkeling, then to Sugar Beach where they have free lounges. Both were excellent! We drove to the sulfur springs one day when we were feeling adventurous (driving on St. Lucia is an adventure). There are very good guides to take you close to the springs. A lot of people were enjoying getting mud baths. We then went to Dasheene Restaurant at Ladera Resort. Do it! Lunch was awesome and the view of the Pitons was downright thrilling. Since we ate there, they said they would take us down to Sugar Beach, but unfortunately, we didn't have enough time. You should get an early start for this day. We also toured the rum distillery in Roseau. Tour was basic but the tasting was,uh, very liberal. Our vacation was a combination of adventure and relaxation. Several days, we just stayed at the villa. Plenty of room to be by yourself, read a book, enjoy the view, and swim in the pool. We were very happy with the whole experience.

Most Gorgeous villa!!!

Outstanding gorgeous villa with one of most beautiful views in St. Lucia!!! The staff associated with the villa was excellent providing for our every need! One of our best vacations ever! Highly recccommend Vill Bo Lamen!!!!

Amazing Villa with Fantastic Views of Marigot Bay

Douglas J.Cocoa Beach, FL

This villa is large and absolutely amazing. Every part of the villa is perfect and everything in the VRBO listing proved to be accurate. The location is fantastic with magnificent views of Marigot Bay, the most beautiful bay in St Lucia. Pauline manages the property and is very helpful. She set us up with a chef named Joel Placide who cooked dinner one night and he was fantastic. One other amazing thing about this property is the amount of information the owner sent us before our arrival. We received over 60 pages of very detailed and accurate information about the entire island. That information was incredibly helpful for our visit. I have never had an owner send me that amount of useful information. I strongly recommend this property. It is absolutely fantastic!!

The home is lovely, spacious, and clean with a gorgeous view. Perfect for a large group!

Linda Q.

The information from Chris was so very helpful and thorough. Msnagers Pauline and Cornelius were wonderful and responsive to our questions. We snorkeled in 3 beautiful sites with Cornelius-an excellent adventure!! We spent lots of time in the pool with assorted floaties. Loads of towels and bed linens with efficient appliances for laundry. The kitchen is fully equipped and the dining area is large - seats 12 or more. All in all a beautiful home, lovely grounds, close to the little town, very friendly people!! Our group ranged in age from 15 to 74 - three generations. To a person we all loved the experience!! Thank you so much and happy new year!!

Fantastic beautiful home with an amazing view.

Roberta A.

We were very impressed with the home and location. The pictures on-line of the house and property do not do it justice. This house was perfect for our family group of 7 people ( 3 couples +}. Each bedroom had an en suite bathroom along with built in closets. The views of Marigot Bay were awesome from the balcony and all the windows. Villa Bo Lanme was close to the restaurants in Marigot and the dock (which made it easier for us being picked up by the scuba diving company}. The location between Castries and points to the south were a nice bonus. Chris did an amazing job in putting together a list of things to do and see on the island. We loved the personal tidbits he added. The caretakers (Pauline and Cornelius) were very helpful too. We could not have asked for a nicer home for our adult family vacation.

If you are lucky enough to get the chance to stay in the incredible, gorgeous Villa Bo Lanme, you will have a very hard time leaving! The pictures do not do it justice! All of the bedrooms are like master suites, and the villa is designed for large groups to have plenty of space and a luxurious experience. The location, private pool and stunning kitchen / living areas with very high ceilings and the quality of the construction is among the top villas I have stayed throughout the world. Did I mention the views, views, views of Marigot Bay and the ocean beyond? Incredible and words cannot describe how beautiful it is to wake up to that view. Not only will you not want to leave to go home, but it is hard to leave the villa during your stay as you are already at the most upscale, gorgeous place to spend time at in St Lucia, the Villa BoLanme. I don’t usually review the booking process or service and staff, but this Villa is a pleasure to book, and the Owner, Chris will send you everything you need to know about the villa, the island, the restaurants, directions, the attractions, the hot springs and mudbaths, the best beaches, how to access them, and much more. I promise, you will not need a guide book. The property managers, Pauline and Cornelius, are lovely and take care of everything you need, down to bringing us candles when a minor tropical storm threatened to moving all the outside furniture for us to meeting us to check us in at 8:00pm Saturday night upon our arrival. They will take care of even the smallest request. St Lucia is a beautiful island but Marigot Bay and Villa Bo Lanme was the best part of visiting this island jewel! I cannot wait to return!

A view of paradise

Simon H.

We a family of 5 had a wonderful week staying at the Villa. First the pictures do not do this property full justice. It is a beautifully laid out house with wonderful views of Marigot Bay and the surrounding hills. It is quiet and secluded. Chris had sent very detailed instructions and information about the house, places to go and things to do which were most helpful. I have to admit I was a bit skeptical about only having air conditioning in the bedrooms and the tropical breezes blowing through the house from front to back would cool the rest of the house but I was dead wrong! There is a constant cooling breeze and even while cooking I never felt hot. We enjoyed the pool and several of the restaurants in Marigot Bay. We also drove to several, other spots, on the island which were very enjoyable. Villa Bo Lanme is an escape to Paradise"

Breathtaking

Tarek K.

This has to be hands down the best villa on the entire island. High ceiling, spacious, and very clean. The view is a million dollar view that is unbeatable anywhere else. Everyone was very polite and helpful. I’d definitely recommend that if your going to visit St. Lucia to stay in this villa.

Amazing Villa with stunning View!!

Mitze L.Perry Park, CO

We traveled with 3 other couples to St. Lucia, so a total of 8 adults. Overall, everyone was incredibly happy and pleased with the trip and thoroughly enjoyed the villa and view of Marigot Bay. The pool was huge with a deck view that was unmatched, and plenty of deck chairs, pool toys, etc. The villa is very well equipped, plenty of beach towels, etc. The 4 bedrooms we used all had ensuite baths, perfect for our needs, all 4 with Bay views. Just amazing! We were there in low season, so very uncrowded everywhere we went, but fairly windy most of the week with rain several days as well.

We appreciated all of Chris's (owner) advice, detailed information, and care for us in general. It’s rare with VRBO rentals to have much contact with the owners and get such solid and truly beneficial pre-trip advice.

Pauline (villa manager) was delightful and gave us all the information we needed to settle in that first day. I spoke to her almost daily to set up excursions or ask her opinion about certain things. She was most helpful and accommodating. Cornelius was a wonderful resource as well. Very helpful if there was an issue at the house, or anything else. We took 2 trips with him on his boat. One down south for snorkeling, lunch, beaches, etc. and another day up North to Castries, Rodney Bay, etc. His rates were very reasonable and he was informative and delightful to spend the days with on his boat.

We did not rent a car, but hired Moses (Pauline arranged thru Chris) for our airport transfers and for a full day up North to Castries, Rodney Bay, the Fort, and a wonderful fish fry. Again, very reasonabily priced for the entire day, and not having to figure out where you're going on a map was wonderful. Driving on St. Lucia was not conducive to relaxing and looked to be difficult and a bit dangerous in our opinion, if you're not familiar with right side steering wheel and driving on the left side of the road. The villa is perched on a very steep road incline, so walking back up to the Villa is great exercise from the Bay.

Our boat transport thru Cornelius worked wonderfully for a trip down South to see the Pitons, snorkel, beaches, lunch, etc. We took our own snorkel gear (Thanks Chris) because snorkel gear isn't readily available to rent for the week. Snorkeling was awesome at the 2 marine reserves Cornelius took us to.

Such a great trip! I hope we can go to St. Lucia again and would love to stay at your Villa.

Spacious villa with lovely views

We had a fantastic stay at Villa Bo Lanme. The views over the bay are fantastic, the villa is spacious, with a well equipped kitchen, and we enjoyed playing table tennis in the games room.

It's the first place in the Caribbean we have been to and not needed the air conditioning on, which was really nice. All we had to do was open the windows and let the breeze waft through the screening, which stops the mossies coming in.

Chris was extremely helpful and informative before our stay, and Pauline and Cornelius were great during our stay. We went on a private sunset cruise with Cornelius in his boat, which was very enjoyable.

All in all we would highly recommend the villa.

Dream location for retirement celebration.

    5 of 5

Villa Bo Lanme is exactly as advertized, only better! Everything is superb! The villa is so spacious, light and airy. The home is in pristine condition with lovely island decor .The kitchen is equipped with everything you could possibly need. We were a family of twelve, eight adults and four children and were very comfortable. The game room was a plus for the children and we all loved the pool area overlooking Marigot Bay. The view is spectacular, we spent a lot of time just watching the activity in the bay. The villa has easy access to the beach, shops and restaurants in Marigot Bay. It’s a very convenient location to tour the island. We rented a van but also used the taxi service. An interesting highlight was our trip to the Zion Lion Farm (Castaway Tours), a Carib Cuisine Workshop on an underdeveloped beach south of Soufriere.

Chris is super, he forwarded so much information and advice prior to our arrival we knew exactly what to expect. He puts a great deal of effort into ensuring guests at Villa Bo Lamne have the best St Lucia experience. From our taxi driver Moses meeting us at the airport, Pauline and Cornelius welcoming us to the villa and Joel our chef for one evening, the staff is all first class.

Our only regret is we did not have enough time there!

Highly recommend this property and hope to return again.

Wonderful Villa with Spectacular Views

  •
    5 of 5

This is our third consecutive year renting a villa in Marigot Bay, as well as the third time we have rented on Sea View Avenue. This house is easily our favorite.

The villa is meticulously maintained, and ideally situated to provide spectacular views of the harbor and capture the most consistently cooling breezes of any island home we have rented. No need for air conditioning or fans (although both are available), and moreover, the constant breeze insures a "bug free" environment.

The kitchen is well appointed, with an enormous gas range, micro wave, and huge refrigerator (which provides more than enough crushed or cubed ice) together with spacious dining areas both inside and outside on the deck overlooking the harbor. For those who frequently travel to the islands, and dread the constant need to shop for (and lug around) cases of bottled water the owners have installed a filtration system that entirely eliminates that daily burden.

Finally, the owners, together with their property management team (Pauline and Cornelius), were the most comprehensive and accommodating team for hosting our stay of any property we have rented in the past twenty years. From providing recommendations for car-rentals, to "things to do" to arranging in villa banquets (be sure to have Pauline schedule Chef Joel for at least one "Island banquet" during your stay...the best meal you'll have) they were incredibly responsive, courteous, and always available.

Definitely a five star stay!!

Left on Jan 24, 2018 for a stay in Jan 2018
This home was as wonderful as pictured and described. The views of the bay and ocean were relaxing. The home can easily comfortably accommodate many more than our group of 8, as it is very spacious. We chose not to get rental cars for our group. The taxi stand at the base of the hill was very convenient, and all the taxis we took could accommodate our entire group of 8. Many in our party agree that the best Indian food we have had was to be found at the base of the hill at Spice of India, Rodney Bay.

We stayed here with a group of 8 adults and had a wonderful time. Chris is absolutely fantastic about answering any questions and giving you all the info you need before arriving. The house was immaculate and the view was breathtaking. The only "complaint" we had was that the beds/mattresses were very firm, but that could be chalked up to personal preference. The house is equipped with everything and anything you need and it's a fairly quick, fairly easy walk to the bars, restaurants and shops in the bay. I would HIGHLY recommend staying here!

Fabulous Villa with stunning views of Marigot Bay

  •
    5 of 5

The pictures do not do this property enough justice. A beautiful home overlooking Marigot Bay. 5 bedrooms each with their own on suite, great shared spaces, a beautiful patio that runs the back of the house overlooking Marigot Bay, and a fantastic pool.

We stayed for a week over the 4th of July and enjoyed every minute.

The owners provide a phenomenal amount of information on the house, Marigot Bay, and Saint Lucia before arrival. In addition, they maintain a great staff that assist in your stay (a house manager, optional cook, and an optional driver).

Will rent this villa again in the future.

Excellent Villa with an Exceptional Vantage Point

  •  5 of 5

The property is situated beautifully above Marigot Bay - the perfect location from which to do nothing, if you choose, and just enjoy an incredible view from almost any location in the villa. The villa itself is tasteful in design and function. I don't think the pictures on the websites give it proper credit. The beiges and whites contribute to a peaceful and relaxed setting, and the whitewash look on the exposed beams is inspired. And it's hard to put into words just how wonderful it feels to lay at night with a cooling Caribbean breeze freely circulating throughout the bedroom. Air conditioning is available but unnecessary. The beds are firm, which I like. Every appliance is in good working order and the kitchen and cupboards are well furnished with everything you need. This villa also offers a game room, which was a hit with our group of mostly young adults.

Marigot Bay is an excellent location from where to explore St Lucia, but the villa itself is the best place to be. Our most fun was at a small inlet to the south of Marigot Bay and only a short walk from the villa. We had our own beach and BBQ, very good snorkeling, and - for the adventurous - the opportunity to cliff dive from a large rock formation extending over the water. Incredible fun and memories for a lifetime.

One last item worth mentioning. The villa owner and his caretakers for the property are absolutely accommodating and invested in making your stay as enjoyable and carefree as possible.

Pristine Property - Trip of a Lifetime

  • 5 of 5
Left on Jun 7, 2017 for a stay in May 2017
I always like to stay in a private residence versus a hotel as the privacy is something I really enjoy. This was by far the best I have ever stayed in. Everything about this home is impeccable. There was not a spot of dust anywhere (and this is a very large home), they had every cooking utensil you would ever need, top of the line appliances, and the finishes in the home are top of the line. You can tell that a lot of thought was put into designing this home. They have porches on 3 sides and no matter where you sit, there is a breathtaking view. Myself and one other person stayed here and while there of course was enough room, I think with 12 others we wouldn't be on top of each other. The pool was very clean and large to accommodate a large party also. There is also enough seating not only inside, but also outside to handle 12 or more so everyone can be together. There are 3 very large suites and en suite bathrooms that are very roomy and very well done. In addition, there are 2 additional bedrooms that are also a nice size. Chris is very responsive to any questions and makes sure that you have all the information you would ever need. We were a little weary of renting a car, but he assured us it wasn't as bad as it sounds to drive there. It took a little while getting used to driving on the other side of the road, but very glad we ended up renting a car. We got to see a lot of the island that we otherwise wouldn't have seen and got to meet a lot of the local residents. Also, while you are there, you will have support from individuals that live there that are happy to answer any questions. I look forward to returning with my family in the next year.

Spacious villa with amazing view looking down over Marigot Bay

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay on St. Lucia.....what a beautiful island with lots of friendly people. I don't think we could have picked a nicer place to stay. We have stayed at numerous VRBO rentals over the years and this by far was our favorite. Your location on top of the hill is amazing with that view looking over Marigot Bay! Chris did an excellent job communicating with us prior to our visit and supplying us with information regarding our trip. The outdoor space at your villa is great....we enjoyed coffee in the morning out on the deck watching the sailboats go in and out of the bay. Also appreciated the amount of seating/chairs that you have out there on the deck and by the pool. All accommodations were perfect.

We stopped at the Massey grocery store multiple times throughout the week. That was relatively close to the house and worked out very nicely. The black binder book with info was a nice resource for phone numbers....we called down to Chateau Mayo and ordered some pizzas for carry out one night.

One day we hired Cornelius to take us down to the Pitons with his water taxi. The climb up the Piton definitely was a cardio workout!! We can cross that off the bucket list....one of those things you do once, but not again.

We hardly used the air conditioners at all. We found that opening the windows let plenty of breeze into the house and cooled it down. Fans were an added bonus. We ate at the Chateau Mayo (short walk or drive from the villa) two or three times and the food was excellent each time.....our favorite spot!! They have an great happy hour as well.

Thanks again for sharing your villa with us. We enjoyed ourselves very much!! We hope to make it back again some day!

Just lived a dream here and still smiling!

  • 5 of 5

Did you ever have a dream of being in a paradise? Well you will surely find a piece of it if you stay at Bay View Villa in Marigot Bay!

I’ve just returned from 12 days celebrating a milestone birthday and retirement with 10 family members and friends (ages 16-70) sharing this very spacious, luxurious, clean, safe, comfortable and extremely functional villa. For all of the reviews that have raved about the spectacular and eye-catching views that come with this property from all sides, all I can say is DITTO! And yes, the pool is sensational, along with the fresh tropical breezes while on the balcony overlooking the enchantment of the bay.

During our stay we enjoyed a perfect blend of relaxing at the villa where everyone was free to read, swim, converse, take in the views or whatever one felt like doing, as well as touring about the island from Soufriere to see the Pitons and waterfall, to shopping in the Castries market, to some beach time in Rodney Bay.

Marigot Bay itself also had much to offer including some very good restaurants with gorgeous sunset views while dining by the sea, ferry rides over to the beach, and strolls along the boardwalk to admire some impressive water vessels. We did not rent a car but used the services of a regular taxi driver which worked well with our larger group, and our driver Moses could always be counted upon with our pre-arranged times.

From the point of inquiry about this vacation property, Chris was very professional and a pleasure to deal with and quick to communicate information, and all of Chris’s staff at the villa offered excellent service. Pauline and Cornelius are lovely people and took great care of all our needs including our first day food provisions since we arrived on a Sunday when grocery stores were closed. And the full day water taxi outing with Cornelius is not to be missed. Gail and Vitalis who provide the cleaning services and pool and garden upkeep are very hard workers and wonderful people.

If you were to ask if I would stay here again, my answer would be yes, in a heartbeat, and I very much hope I can plan to stay at Bay View Villa and continue the dream one day. I am so happy I found this place. It was perfect in every way for all of us. You will not be disappointed if you rent this property… the pictures do not lie and it is a 5 star property without a doubt!

Best Place to Stay in St Lucia

  • 5 of 5

I highly recommend staying In Marigot Bay and this house was absolutely stunning. The views of the Bay were outstanding. The house is better looking and bigger than it appears in the photos. Plenty of room for everyone and well stocked. The owner provided lots of information that made planning easy and fun. Pauline and Cornelius, the property managers, went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable and responding promptly to all inquiries. We did rent a car while we were here, but I will note signage is sorely lacking on St Lucia so be prepared to ask for directions. I did purchase the map that was recommended and this was helpful. The locals were all very courteous and willing to assist us in our travels.

Wonderful Villa_Book this Property

  • 5 of 5

We had a group of 5 Adults & 1 Child for a 2 week stay at the Bay View Villa in Marigot Bay, St. Lucia. This was our first trip to St. Lucia and we were not disappointed.

First of all, Chris Beechings, the owner of the villa goes above and beyond from the start of the rental process. He gives you a very clear understanding of Bay View and what to expect in the area. He was very informative from Start to Finish, he has wonderful information about the Island, Tours and what to do and where to go as well as a complete inventory of the house. His management staff is top notch, we meet Pauline upon our arrival and she did a very excessive walk through to ensure any or all questions were answered. Pauline was excellent to work with, she suggested a great place for our first nights dinner in Marigot Bay as well as setting up transportation to Castries for a market run for fresh provisions the next morning.

The villa itself is spacious, clean, very functional for a group of any size. There are 3 King Bedroom, and 2 Queen bedrooms all very similar layouts, Great in suite tile bathroom/showers and more than enough room, comfortable beds. Each room has a balcony to sit and enjoy the wonderful views of the Bay. The layout of the house is perfect and plenty of space to find a place to be alone if you like. There is also a downstairs game room with a ping pong table for those rainy days, or when you do not feel like being out side.

The Views are incredible on both sides of the Villa, Sunsets every night on the Front upper Balcony and all day views of the bay from the back side of the house. When we were there in February of 2017 some days he winds were so strong but with all the space at the Villa we were still able to enjoy the patio and not get blown away. We did not turn on the AC, cause you really do not need it with the wonderful breezes at the Villa.

We were able to book a tour to the Pitons with Cornelius and he was so informative about the area, history and set us up at a great restaurant for lunch, I would highly recommend using the staff to assist you in Tours...you will not be disappointed. We also used the driver Moses for a couple day trips and again very informative and accommodating...you will be very well taken care of.

I highly recommend that you book Bay View Villa in Marigot Bay. You will be taken care of from Start to finish and nothing is left to the unknown. This is a top notch Villa and worth the price....do not hesitate to book.

Lovely, well-organized, clean, great view.

  • 5 of 5

The villa was immaculate and well laid out. Not only did we have a gorgeous view of the Marigot Bay and the Caribbean on one side but from the front entrance and upper balcony, a view of a cove and the Caribbean.

The Beeching's staff was friendly and professional. Pauline greeted us on our arrival from the airport. The maid and gardener/pool man came mid week.

The grounds were lovely.

We drove less than 5 minutes to a parking lot by the Bay where there were a number of restaurants and a few shops. On the other side of the bay easily reached by a short boat/ferry ride, there were several other restaurants, a few hikes and accommodations.

We drove to a number of areas on the island to see interesting sites including the Pitons, a botanical rain forest with mineral baths and an old fort on Pigeon Island with a nice sandy beach and good snorkeling.

Very good restaurant on Marigot Bay- Rainforest Hideaway.

Simply spectacular stay at Bay View Villa-10 STARS

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four spent eight idyllic days at the Bay View Villa in Marigot Bay, St. Lucia and we have only positive comments about the experience. First of all, Chris Beechings, the owner of the villa goes above and beyond what’s expected to make sure that each guest feels comfortable, safe, and informed. From the first moment of booking, every question was answered, tips were provided, and a couple of weeks before departing on our adventure, he emailed a complete packet of suggestions for things to do, places to go, and what to see.

The villa itself is spacious, clean, and welcoming with 4 master suites, three of which are king beds, one is a queen (all with private travertine bathrooms, walk in showers with rain shower heads) plus an additional double bedroom and three more bathrooms, one with a bathtub. Stone floors, teak wood staircase, fine linens, excellent lighting-the house is built to insure a comfortable, luxurious vacation. Four couples could easily enjoy a vacation here and not feel crowded. There is also a downstairs game room with a ping pong table for those monsoon rainy days when wandering outside is not advantageous.

Verandas and balconies offer both sunrise and sunset views of Marigot Bay or the Caribbean. The great room has plenty of seating, cooling fans, a TV with DVD(which we never used once), and a high end kitchen with first class cooking utensils. WiFi is fast and works in all the rooms. The swimming pool right outside of the kitchen is a great place to cool off on those hot days and in between beach dips. Another great perk of the house is having the laundry room with two washing machines and plenty of towels and linens. Bring your own soap and toiletries.

The caretakers, Cornelius and Pauline, are extremely helpful. When we got lost driving from the airport, Pauline was able to direct us to the villa. There are very few road signs and no street addresses in St. Lucia, so it can be a bit challenging to find something without stopping to ask. You’ll be told to watch for bus stops, store emblems, big trees, etc. when directions are sought.

Marigot Bay is without a doubt the prettiest bay in the Caribbean as James Michener evidently remarked. Dr. Doolittle with Rex Harrison was shot here. We had such a wonderful time in St. Lucia. I highly recommend that you book Bay View Villa in Marigot Bay. You and your party will be delighted. Chris will make sure that you have every instruction possible. 10 Stars!

Absolutely fabulous villa with stunning views

  • 5 of 5

The villa was everything we had hoped for and more. It was extremely well equipped, the views were stunning and the pool was fabulous.

We loved snorkelling at Anse Cochon and Anse Castanette and Sugar Beach. We also visited the cocoa plantation which was very family friendly, followed by gorgeous Piton Waterfalls.

I would thoroughly recommend staying here.

Amazing Views - Wonderful Vacation Home

  • 5 of 5

We had a group of 8 people that stayed at the Bay View Villas in July 2016. Every one of us was thrilled with the villa. With all the room in the house to relax, eat or just enjoy the scenery outside there was never an issue with the size of our group. The wonderful dips in the pool as it was 85 and humid every day and all the boats coming and going was always very interesting to watch.

Chris and Liz do a great job with keeping in contact with you before your trip and all the tips and information they send prior to the trip is very helpful. We did not rent a car and used a taxi for 8 of us the whole week while we were there. The taxi driver was set up by Pauline the caretaker for the villa before we left so there were no issues with us having a driver to the villa when we arrived at the airport in St Lucia. The driver also stopped at the local grocery store before we got to the villa which was very helpful for our group.

When we arrived Pauline was there to greet us along with showing us around the house.

We enjoyed many excursions while we were there. We enjoyed a tour with CoSol Tours which is mainly a Cruise line tour around St. Lucia but we were able to book it as well. The tour stopped at a banana plantation, the owner of the tour’s house for a breakfast, sulfur hot springs, waterfall swimming, continued on to Soufriere, saw the Pitons, rode on a glass bottom boat to Sugar Beach where we stayed for a while to swim and relax. We also went on the gondola rainforest ride, zip-lining through the rainforest and did some hiking. Cornelius set up a Catamaran tour to Rodney Bay and lastly we went to Castries to the open market for shopping. We enjoyed meals at Doolittle’s, Chateau Mygo and Rainforest Hideaway. They were all very good.

If you are looking for adventure, relaxation, swimming and amazing views, this is the place for you!!

Luxurious Villa location for our second honeymoon

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned from a fabulous holiday in St Lucia and feel wonderfully rested and restored. This was in very large part due to Bay View Villa, its position, its amenities, its cooling breeze and its wonderful peace and tranquillity. We cannot recommend it more highly.

We were met on arrival by Pauline and Cornelius, a delightful couple who showed us where everything was and were a source of knowledge for anything and everything. Marigot Bay is a delightful picturesque bay, popular with visiting yachts, and has its own picture-perfect little beach complete with palm trees, bars and restaurants. However, we enjoyed simply looking down on it from our spectacular position high above the sea, chilling peacefully beside our own large pool, glass in hand!

We loved St Lucia too, with its happy-go-lucky, chilled out style and heavenly temperatures. Even the regular showers didn’t interfere with anything for long, simply cooling things down momentarily and keeping the island green and lush.

We used our hire car to do some exploring around the island, but most frequently went north to Castries and Rodney Bay, enjoying the many excellent restaurants (for which Cornelius was a great source of recommendations.)

There are many, many boat trips available but we enjoyed the luxury of a personal hire with Cornelius, who is a skilled boatsman and who took us on 2 trips, the first (a half day) when he took us snorkelling (our first time!) and provided us with all the equipment and tuition, which was brilliant. The second trip was a full day including snorkelling, lunch in Soufriere, more snorkelling and of course a private guided tour of all the bays and beaches stopping wherever we wanted, along the way. Perfection - and all at a very reasonable price.

So, all in all, a great success – but the star of the show was Bay View Villa - and we loved it so much that we are already booked in to return next year - for our third honeymoon!

Fantastic villa with breathtaking bay view

  • 5 of 5

The villa was perfect for our family holiday to celebrate my Dads 70th - our party included his 3 grandchildren aged 2, 3 and 7 months. It was extremely well equipped, spacious and airy with the most amazing views. The pool was the source of many hours entertainment for all ages - perfect to cool off in! We had many a pleasant evening grilling fresh fish and jerk chicken on the BBQ, whilst chilling out on the terrace.

Location wise, having the restaurants, coffee shop / bakery a few minutes down the hill in Marigot Bay was great. The kids absolutely loved catching the little boat across to the beach and spent many an hour digging in the sand and splashing in the sea. A favourite pastime for the adults was watching the sun go down over the bay whilst enjoying an ice cold Pieton beer!

We also ventured into Castries on a number of occasions to buy fresh fish from the local market and used the opportunity to stock up on herbs, spices and fruit and vegetables.

In summary, a fantastic holiday would certainly recommend Bayy View VIlla. It is worth noting that Chris (the owner) provides the most detailed local information to help you, and then whilst in St Lucia, Pauline and the team will look after you amazingly well!

Best Location, house and view on the island!

  • 5 of 5

Bayview Villa was more than we expected, and from the pictures we saw and service we received leading up to our stay, we were expecting a lot! The views are absolutely breathtakingly phenomenal - the pictures shown on the websites just can't do it justice. Chris, Pauline, Cornelius, and everyone else couldn't have been better. They were friendly, prompt, and helpful with whatever we needed.

We traveled all up and down the west coast of the island and we are quite sure that we picked that Marigot Bay and Bayview Villa are the best and most beautiful (by far) spot on the island. The house was immaculate and comfortable for 2 people or 12 people.

We are already discussing a return trip, which we will be squeezing in between other vacations - we just loved it that much!

Also, there are some great restaurant selections in Marigot Bay, so you don't have to go far if you don't want to.

Paradise Found - and it's at Bay View Villa

  • 5 of 5

Chris :

I just wanted to send you a quick e_mail to say thank you for all that you, Pauline, Cornelius and Moses did to make our week an absolutely amazing one! The Bay View Villa was just spectacular and we loved the way that we could detach from everything or go on sightseeing visits. We spent a day with Cornelius and that was without question the best day of the vacation - it was very fairly priced and we went at our own pace. There literally was nothing that we did not enjoy about the week. Everything met or exceeded our expectations and I believe your attention to detail, information and support made it truly a memorable week for my entire family. My wife is already actively planning when we will be able to return, which we undoubtedly will do.

Best Property on the Island

  • 5 of 5

I want to start out this review by simply saying that you will not find a more amazing view, or house, on the island. After looking at some pictures and reading reviews for homes on St Lucia, I immediately contacted the owner of this house, Chris. Despite the fact that he is based in the UK and I am in the US, he could not have been more responsive from our very first conversation. Once we booked the house, Chris sent me information on the house, the island, what to do/where to go and some suggestions for when you arrive. I cannot stress how nice this was since it was an island I had never been to.

One of the suggestions that Chris gave was that when you arrive at the airport, to have his property managers Pauline and Cornelius, coordinate a taxi to pick you up and take you to the house. They also would have a rental car dropped off at Bay View Villa the next day. Please, please take them up on it. It does not cost much more (if any) than an extra day of rental car fees. Plus, you don’t run the risk of getting lost like we did. Despite the fact that there is only one main road on the island, there are very few street signs, and even with a map, it can be hard to miss the turn off for Marigot Bay. After we eventually found the house, Pauline and Cornelius were there waiting for us. They are the most welcoming, wonderful people. We could not believe the house that we walked in to. It was huge, clean, lovely, and had a wrap-around porch that I believe has the best view of Marigot Bay out there.

The next day we all woke up in what we thought was heaven. It was sunny, the view of the ocean to the bay was incredible, and we were able to relax and read by the pool our first morning. The kitchen was fully stocked with every utensil, dish, pot/pan that you could need so we cooked most of our meals in. The bedrooms and bathrooms are all beautifully done, have lots of natural light and are very spacious. Despite a few hiccups with the house that could not have been avoided, we had the most incredible experience. And even with those hiccups, Pauline handled everything beautifully and was so quick to respond.

In short, book this house. It includes an owner that is very informative and cares very much about the house, wonderful property managers that can fix/handle anything, and the best view out there. You will not find a more complete and wonderful experience.

A little slice of paradise!

  • 5 of 5

Stunning house in the most amazing position in beautiful Marigot Bay. We think Marigot Bay is the most beautiful place to stay on the island and Bay View Villa the best place there. The house is bright and airy and beautifully kept, with stunning sea and bay views and a wonderful pool and deck for enjoying the sun in complete privacy. Our holiday was great enhanced by all the helpful information from Chris and nothing has been to much trouble, given we were travelling with a 13 week old, the house was perfect. We plan to return with the whole family.

Best View on the Island!

  • 5 of 5

After what should have been a romantic trip for 2 blossomed into a family trip of 6, we found this absolutely breathtaking property in Marigot Bay. Typical ocean views have NOTHING on Bay View Villa. Watching the sailboats and catamarans serenely cruise in and out of the bay and still being able to view the ocean from both sides of the house - you could just lose yourself in the view all day, every day. The property itself was wonderful - the floorplan was perfect for both kids and adults to have together time or quiet time. The kitchen was well-appointed, the bathrooms were gorgeous, and the game room was a huge hit for the kiddos. The pool was delightful - just the perfect temperature and depth. And for those with younger kids, the railings all the way around the pool deck and porches definitely gave me a sense of security up on that ridgeline.

Outside of the house, we enjoyed Marigot Bay restaurants: Doolittle's and Chateau Mygo, plus some homemade ice cream and sherbet to die for. Groceries were easy, both in the small shop in Marigot Bay and the Super J in Cul de Sac. We also did a private day sail with Oasis Sail and their fantastic crew down to Soufriere and the Pitons. Lucian Style helped us schedule segway and horseback riding tours in Castries and Cap Estate. And Rainforest Adventures offered thrilling zip lines and aerial tram (sky ride) through the rainforest.

St Lucia was a bucket list vacation for us, and it didn't disappoint. We would absolutely recommend this property again and again!

An amazing way to experience St. Lucia

  • 5 of 5

Nothing has been overlooked by the owners of this beautiful property. My husband and I spent a fantastic week here with our five sons, and our niece and nephew. There was plenty of room for us all and a host of activities to keep everyone happy.

The house has everything you could possibly need and Chris sends along so many ideas of things to do that it makes planning very easy.

The highlight of the trip for us was the day we spent on Cornelius' boat at the beginning of the week. There was room for all nine of us and his knowledge of the island was interesting and helpful as we planned how to spend the rest of out time in St. Lucia. He took us to Sugar Beach where we went snorkeling and had amazing views of the Pitons. He arranged lunch reservations for in Soufrieres and let us stop at other locations on the trip back, all for a very fair price. It's not to be missed!

Each day we'd set out on a different adventure and then stop into Chateau Mygo at the bottom of the hill in Marigot Bay to watch the sun set and chat with visitors from all over the world. Then we had the Bay View Villa to look forward to returning to for dinner and a dip in pool.

You will remember the beautiful breezes and the stunning views from the deck long after you have returned home. We absolutely loved the time we spent there.

Spectacular Villa for an incredible family holiday

  • 5 of 5

This Villa is an amazing place to stay on the island of St. Lucia! The home offers an spectaculr view that is enjoyable day and night. The location is very convenient to the " must see" sights on the island. Our family of nine have visited many of the Carribean Islands staying at various resorts and they loved staying here with all the comforts of home. Chris provides such details of not only the Villa but everything on the island which allowed our family to follow his wonderful recommendations from sight seeing to high quality restaurants throughout our trip. Pauline and Cornelius were always available to us during our trip if we needed them and Cornelius offers a wonderful water taxi service. Our family was able to use his service for a beautiful day at the beach for swimming and snorkeling and deep sea fishing for the guys. I would highly recommend this beautiful Villa if you plan on visiting the island of St Lucia!

Fabulous location for a group of friends

  • 5 of 5

Very spacious and bright villa, every amenity we could think of. We stayed for a week with a group of 6 friends and loved to cook in the perfect kitchen or grill some fresh fish and enjoy the evening on the veranda. Four of the rooms have private verandas so everyone could choose privacy or staying together. For 6 people the villa is almost too big, you get lost in the living room :-) The owner provides detailed information beforehand about everything you might want to know about the house and the island. The caretakers have been very helpful and assisted with the transfer as our rental car could not hold all six with luggage. Highly recommended!

Great house, great view, great vacations

  • 5 of 5

We booked this house for a vacation with our three adult children and their significant others. The booking process was very smooth and Chris was very responsive to any inquiry.

We had a wonderful time! The property is spotless, very well maintained and very comfortable for a large group. Needless to say that we spent a lot of time by the pool......

Outstanding house and views

  • 5 of 5

We thought the photos were too good to be true, but the photos did not do the place justice! The house is exceptionally spacious, clean and bright, with every amenity you would want. We loved the location and views, it gives a solid breeze that makes the place more comfortable and with few to no bugs. We really felt like royalty overlooking the Bay! Marigot Bay is also lovely and has lots to offer. We would go back in a heartbeat!

Fantastic Spot for Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

My family of 6 recently returned from our stay at Bay View Villa, and we could not have been happier with our accommodations, and experiences we were able to enjoy as a result of the help from the owners as well as the properties caretakers! As you have read in the other reviews, the view is magnificent and words can't do it justice. We traveled around the island quite a bit, and all agreed if we could do it again we would still stay in Marigot at Bay View Villa. Tip - If you want to spend a day exploring the island, do it with Cornelius, one of the property care takers. He has a great little boat, knows the island very well, and will be your personal water chauffeur for a day, at a more than fair price!

Highly recommend!

The description of this fabulous villa just doesn't do it justice. You have to experience it yourself to totally comprehend just how spectacular this place is. And the views? Simply breathtaking.

We stayed for one week (wish it had been longer) with five couples and Chris's villa accommodated us all perfectly. He simply thought of everything when constructing it — you could spend the entire week there and have a fabulous time.

We did, however, spend a few days exploring with our rental cars and I can honestly say that this location is one of the most, if not the most, picturesque on the island. You simply cannot go wrong renting this beautiful home and Chris is a pleasure to do business with.

A view so majestic and a Villa so beautiful!

  • 5 of 5

We arrived not sure what to expect. There were 10 of us. It was every bit and more as aadvertised. The Villa is huge, the kitchen open and modern. The swimming pool is so large that you can have several people in and the are not stepping on each other. The view, oh that view. We woke up and looked out....wow!!! The quiet. The game room. The upstairs. We had a phenomenal time in St. Lucia and where we stayed contributed big time to that. Please check out St. Lucia and this villa. The owners take care of you every step of the way. Fantastic!

  • 5 of 5

We would highly recommend staying at Bay View Villa. It is impeccable, clean and beautifully kept. All appliances and furnishing are first rate so you can move in a feel comfortable and at home — everything is very user friendly. Each bedroom has its own master bath suite, making for very private quarters. Cornelius and Pauline were extremely welcoming and helpful so you feel settled in and relaxed right away. They are also very responsive if you need anything. The house has incredible views of both the ocean side and the bay side. The gorgeous setting makes you want to just stay there and enjoy the views and all the activity in this sensationally beautiful harbor. The neighboring community is warm, friendly and helpful. Excellent local dining — we recommend the new Capella Restaurant right on the harbor — it is beautiful with superb service and cuisine.

Simply Stunning!

  • 5 of 5

This villa looks amazing from the photos but is even better when you get there! It's in a great position overlooking Marigot Bay and you feel yourself begin to chill the minute you arrive (even before unpacking!) It is brilliantly equipped - to be honest the kitchen is better equipped than mine and there is nothing you could possibly need that isn't there. The bedrooms and bathrooms are all equally spacious and extremely comfortable. Our children declared them the best rooms they'd ever had (not sure how we're going to live up to that!). The games room was a big hit. Pauline and Cornelius were extremely helpful and informative and the cleaners very thorough! Locals all helpful and friendly. The information provided by Chris the owner was incredibly detailed and accurate. We went to look at the Pitons but decided not to climb them - sticking to the beach instead. Pidgeon Island lovely too and well worth a visit. Really don't think anybody could be disappointed with this beautiful villa.

Perfection in Paradise

  • 5 of 5

What an outstanding place! Everything was catered for from start to finish. Pauline and Cornelius took excellent care of us and were round within ten minutes should anything need sorting, urgent or not (urgent being the gas running out on the BBQ, Cornelius was there in ten). The villa is a lot larger than the pictures let on and the views can't really be appreciated from images, you simply have to see it all for yourself! The bay itself is absolutely beautiful, visited for this beauty by tourists from all over the island, yet we were living there. The pool is very generously sized, as is the barbecue and pretty much everything else about the villa; ten adults very comfortably lived here for a month with room for some serious table tennis championships. The locals were all very welcoming and happy to point us in the right direction. Chris was extremely helpful in booking the villa, accommodating our needs and indeed offering excellent advice on local amenities and activities to go and do. The villa is in a perfect location for visiting the touristy top of the island or visiting Soufriere towards the south for the famous Pitons, Sugar Beach and many other places definitely worth a visit; by boat if you fancy it as this is the quickest way to get there. On top of its perfect location, the villa is perfectly designed, from the views over all 3 balconies to harbouring the cool breezes from the Caribbean Sea.

Best Bits:

Bay View Villa (we loved it in case you hadn't already realised)

Sugar Beach (by boat with some incredible snorkelling, sorted by Cornelius),

climbing a Piton (hard work and take lots more water than they advise),

Ladera bar (near Soufriere, you must go for the sunset but be prepared to pay a bit more than usual),

Pigeon Island (beach and views from Fort Rodney),

and finally Reduit Beach.

Google these places and you'll see a glimpse of how amazing they are. Overall we had a wonderful stay here and couldn't thank Chris enough for all his help and indeed making his villa available to holidaymakers. At no point did we see anywhere on the island we would rather be staying so if you want to go to Saint Lucia, you simply must stay at Bay View Villa, it is perfection in paradise.

Wonderful holiday

  • 5 of 5

My sister's family and my family visited St Lucia recently and stayed at this stunning villa. The villa is just wonderful, luxurious and the views are stunning. The beach is 5 mins ride by car and the location is just perfect! The space in the house gave us privacy and space to sit and enjoy our evenings together. We cooked in the well equipped kitchen and swam in the pool next to it. We BarBQ'd on the balcony, beside the pool and really didn't need to go anywhere else. The island was amazing though and each day we looked forward to going back 'home'. Thank you Chris and Liz for sharing your villa with us. We will recommend it and return to it asap.

Listen to Chris (the owner) - he is on the money!!

  • 5 of 5

Firstly Chris (who I have only dealt with by email) is very particular.

He provides more comprehensive and accurate information than anyone I have ever rented from and that makes planning the holiday a breeze. He is also well known locally and, notwithstanding the general St Lucian desire to provide excellent service, I believe the contacts he provided from car hire to yacht charter did not want to let him down,

The villa is completely as described (photos can't tell the full story) and the service on the ground from Pauline and Cornellius charming, effective and prompt - Pauline was happy to source a chef to cook in to allow our own cooks (me) a night off without going out which with a large party (9 adults and 2 babies) can have its moments.

As the cook, I can vouch that the kitchen is very well equipped, although bring a hand blender as we did (advised by Chris) for pulping baby food.

The Weber BBQ is a high spec machine also - absence of which is a normal gripe of mine when renting (even 5 Star like Bay View).

We of course did eat out - several times all of us - and other times in 'pods'.

The choice in Marigot Bay is good and collectively we tried most - we all agree (by a margin) that the Rainforest Hideaway is best. At £25/$40 a head for the set menu it was the most expensive, but of course against high end UK/US restaurants actually cheap.

Any negatives - well actually no - we had one (non) issue when the chef managed to exhaust the water supply, but Cornellius came and fixed it so quickly it might as well not have happened. This is positive as the real test (IMHO) is the response to an issue, not the absence of same.

In terms of the island itself, it is not an accident that it features so highly in press reviews - spectacular scenery, wonderful people, so much to do.

On the subject of people, we did have a car breakdown coming from the airport (sorted quickly by Drive-a- Matic), but we were astonished when a gentleman, the Hon Shawn A, Edward, the St Lucian Minister of Youth Development & Sports) stopped to help and insisted on taking us to the villa in his transport.

I can't imagine where else this might have happened.

Would I rent from Chris again - absolutely yes - we had the most marvellous holiday and as serial 5 star rentals we have plenty of comparatives.

Best activities:

Day yacht charter from Bateau Mygo - good value 4 out of 5

Segway tour in Rodney Bay - great outing 5/5

St Lucia Golf 4/5

Lovely villa with incredible views and amenities!

  • 5 of 5

I just don't know where to start but I'll try to describe how lovely Bay View Villa is by saying it exceeded our expectations. The photos don't do it justice because when you arrive and walk in the views just go on and on. From the grand entrance, wrap around verandas, lovely suites with huge bathrooms and lovely kitchen it provides everything you could possibly need and more. The pool is fantastic and huge... we ate breakfast every morning outside to enjoy the incredible views of Marigot Bay. One evening we had dinner on the patio and felt truly blessed to have the loveliest view in the entire Bay. Nina was a dream and made everything perfect for us and the housekeeper was a delight! We were a party of nine and because the villa is so large and well laid out we all had our privacy which made for an excellent stay. I could go on and on because this was truly our most successful rental on home away and Chris the owner provided us with so much information on the island and things to do that we were well prepared when we arrived. It was such a pleasure from beginning to end and all I can really say is thank you Chris for sharing your lovely villa with us.

Amazing accommodation- held our wedding reception and honeymoon here -stunning!

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic time! All the hard work on the arrangements paid off and everything pretty much went to plan.

The car hire worked well and the car was totally reliable.

Nina & Henning were great, Henning even arranged deliveries of crates of beer – and at a discounted price!

We arranged a day trip with Andrew, (like him) where we did the usual Soufriere drive-in volcano & botanical gardens tour. We had a very good lunch in the Humming Bird Bar & Hotel which is in a very picturesque spot on the outskirts of Soufriere. We also did the market at Castries which is very interesting & bought quite a few veg we’d never seen before. We went to Pigeon Island and we went & had a look round the marina at Rodney Bay, which is worth a look and had a day at Reduit Beach which is great.

We had a sunset cruise back to Marigot in one of Frank’s boats which, aided by his crews’ generosity with the lethal rum punch, made for a very enjoyable trip back, even for those with little experience of being on a boat! Frank organised transport up to the villa, and shortly after delivered up Caribbean fare together with table cloths and lanterns which rounded off the day perfectly.

We enjoyed going across on the ferry to the spit & spent a couple of days over there swimming and canoeing and had a couple of very pleasant lunches at Doolittles. Hard to imagine a nicer location for a restaurant.

It was a magical experience and we will carry many happy memories (not to mention hundreds of photos!) for a long time.

It is a beautiful house and it was a truly special holiday so thank you Chris

PS Would we return? That’s a really silly question…..!

Beautiful villa, beautiful view, beautiful holiday

  • 5 of 5

This is a beautiful, impressive villa, in one of the best locations in St Lucia. The imposing entrance leads into a massive sitting area with floor to ceiling views of the Bay and the rainforest beyond. The sitting area leads into the dining area with access to the terrace, the pool and uninterrupted views of all the activity in the Bay.

There are 3 large bedrooms on the upper floor, all with a veranda and looking over the rainforest or out towards the Caribbean and Mustique, great for catching the sun in the morning.

The kitchen is well appointed and the American Fridge with the icemaker was almost an essential item as the weather was so hot. The swimming pool is well maintained by Miguel, and we were told that it is one of the largest private pools in Marigot Bay. The terraces are very well designed to get the sun from early morning until it dips into the Caribbean, approximately 13 hours later, although there are plenty of shady spots for those people who want to cool off.

The villa is near the top of a private road, and Marigot Bay is accessible in about a 10 minute walk. There is a taxi rank in the Bay if you haven't hired a car, which will take you back up the hill. Marigot Bay has a bank, a nice bakery, and a small supermarket, however a large modern supermarket is available in Cul de Sac, which is a 10 minute drive away, and if you like hustle bustle, the local market is in Castries every Saturday morning, for amazing fruit, veg, herbs and spices.

The listing description was accurate, and if anything the villa was better than we hoped it would be. Chris (the owner) was extremely helpful with lots of information before we flew, and William who maintained the property was extremely friendly and helpful. I would be happy to recommend Bay View Villa to anyone looking for spacious, well presented holiday accommodation in a stunning, peaceful location.

I have reviewed the restaurants etc we visited on other sites, however if you want to see a different view of the villa, take the tiny ferry over to Doolittles and look up at the villas on the hill...you can't miss Bay View!

Top spot on St Lucia

  • 5 of 5

The Rolls Royce of villas with high quality furnishings/appliances bedrooms and showers. We were stunned by the views and the setting up a discrete hillside track overlooking the bay /rain forest etc amazing.

Perfect for families couples etc .

You could spend all your time on the villas terrace here with really going out but I of course was keen to see all the top endemic birds so went off into the rainforest at nearby Millet to see parrots /hawks etc, ditto the butterflies that surrounded the villa amazing tropical species so colourful and uplifting to the spirit.

.Go you will not be disappointed the locals ultra friendly and must b e one of the most picturesque spots on the planet with the unspoilt Marigot Bay marina ideal to eat in with little boat trips the only way to reach the Rainforest Hideaway & and Doollittles restaurants.

Great villa in a wonderful location

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time in St Lucia, the house was more impressive than we thought it would be based on the pictures online. There was nothing that could be improved on within the house and Nina was very helpful.

The car hire firm were good.

We visited Castries twice, Pigeon Island, Soufrière, the volcano and the Rabat and Fond Deux plantations. All were good, although I was a little underwhelmed by the volcano but glad to have gone nevertheless. The only thing I wanted to see which we did not get a chance to was the cricket stadium at Beausejour.

All in all a really great holiday and a beautiful place to visit. If anyone one of our friends are looking for a holiday in the Caribbean I would definitely recommend Bay View Villa.

Best rental property we have stayed at.

  • 5 of 5

We were a party of 12 staying at Bay View Villa for 10 days, three couples with two children each. We have been renting vacation houses like this for years, and I can safely say that this house is the best we have stayed in yet, and absolutely perfect for our party size. Four of the bedrooms are suites - each with a spacious en-suite bathroom, and there are two additional full bathrooms (one by the pool) and one half bath, so there were absolutely no problems with bathroom sharing, as we have experienced in some other rental houses.

The views are stunning and we just couldn’t get enough. The kids always had something to do between the pool, game room and assortment of family games (and Wi-Fi of course). The public areas are very spacious, and the dining tables both inside and out perfectly accommodated the 12 of us.

During our December stay the weather was perfect and we never needed to use the air conditioning. All the (screened) windows can be opened to get a refreshing Caribbean breeze at all hours of the day.

We rented cars and did quite a bit of exploring of the islands attractions, but the local beach down at Marigot bay is one of the best, offering chairs, shade, refreshments, and rental of kayaks or catamarans.

Nina and Henning, the property managers were wonderful and helped us with everything we needed. They also connected with us with a local cook who came to cook for us a couple of times during the day when we were out exploring the island (Nina let her in and out), so that when we got back in the evening the house was full of good smells and an assortment of delicious dishes. We purchased the staple items, and the cook brought with her local herbs and vegetables, and each time she cooked a quantity to last us all for nice dinners for two or three days. We never once ate at a restaurant because our dinners at the house with the home cooked food and the view topped what any restaurant could offer (not to mention more affordable). For lunch every day we took sliced bread and veggies/cheese/cold cuts etc, in the insulated bags with ice packs from the villa and made sandwiches wherever it was we were exploring that day.

The villa is extremely well stocked and everything is new and in top shape.

Chris, the property owner was very communicative and helpful in planning our vacation in advance, providing us with an abundance of information about what to see and how to get around on the island.

This property definitely deserves all five stars!

Breathtaking Views, Fab Villa & Perfect Location!

  • 5 of 5

Having stayed on this beautiful Island several times in a hotel environment we decided to find somewhere a bit more private to stay with friends. As a group we were able to afford to stay somewhere more luxurious than we would normally go for. We chose this villa because of its spectacular location and breathtaking views. I have never woken up to such amazing views before!

We were a party of 10 and the villa is certainly large enough to accommodate several families comfortably with enough space to get away from everyone if you want to. The open plan area’s are perfect for a large number of visitors, with the games room providing much fun and entertainment for all ages.

Marigot Bay shopping, Marina and hotel resort is only a short distance if you want to venture out for the day or night, with a great selection of restaurants to suit all.

The villa has a lovely quality feel to it and we felt we were living in the lap of luxury. It is very peaceful and exactly what we were all hoping for. It catered for every need and we didn’t feel there was anything missing as you do in some rentals. A big hit was the inflatable’s that even the adults made use of! Although we hired a car for the duration we only used it a few times, not really wanting to leave the villa as we had done all the tourist attractions on previous visits. However its location is perfect to get to some of the attractions if you want to.

Fantastic for family groups

  • 5 of 5

We are a group of 3 families comprising 6 adults and 7 children and we regularly holiday in Villas around the world because it works for us. I don’t normally write reviews but I want others to know that this place exists.

We stayed here for 2 weeks and we had a ball. Each family took it in turns to cook, so I only had to cook twice because some nights we went down the road to eat in the Bay. All the restaurants are good and reasonably priced, we did not go to the Rain Forest with our hordes of kids, but we understand it’s very good. Our favourites were Chateau Mygo for the evening, burgers at the baguette shop at lunch time, and the men said the best bar was at Doolittle's because the owner David was a hoot.

The house is great, it is huge and accommodated all 13 easily. The 2 sofa beds in the games room are doubles so it can take up to 14. The children ate inside and the adults outside.

The pool is enormous and has floats to play on, and there are lots of loungers and chairs for everybody to sunbath.

The kitchen is better than at home, with an enormous fridge freezer with an ice and cold water dispenser, the kids loved that. 2 ovens and 7 gas rings and plenty of equipment for large parties like us. We used the BBQ most days, it was brilliant.

We hired 2 vehicles from the airport, and drove up to Marigot Bay where we were met by the managers Nina and Henning who could not have done enough for us, very professional. From Marigot Bay you are equidistant from the North and South of the island. We went South down to Soufriere which is a must. The volcano, pitons, botanical gardens with with hot pools, and a couple of lovely hotels to have lunch and snorkel off the beach at Anse Chastenet and Sugar Beach. We went North to Rodney Bay where there is all the tourist shops, restaurants and the Marina. We enjoyed the beach and the beach bar and restaurant Spinnakers which looks like the sort of place you see on TV, right on the beach and the food’s good too.

We went for hikes in the Rain Forest and some of us had a go at zip wiring, not me, and we had a go on Segways, that was a laugh. We were given lots of information before we came onto the island, so we had lots to chose from. Part of our evenings after supper were spent outside, the view is lovely by night, happily choosing our next day out, while the children amused themselves in the games room.

If you want a place to go to with a group of friends or families try out this place....

Stay here, this is a good one

  • 5 of 5

This house and furniture is brand new, and it’s beautiful, better than the pictures. My husband and our 3 children stayed here for 1 week, it was bliss.

Everything in the house worked, and the view is simply to die for. I spent hours sun bathing, swimming in the pool and watching shoals of fish come in, and sailing boats come in and out. From where we were, we could see everything going on.

We did not need to leave the bay, everything we wanted was there. A supermarket with good quality food, restaurants, a wonderful baguette shop where we got our freshly baked bread for breakfast and burgers at lunch time, a beautiful beach on our doorstep, and a wonderful safe bay to swim in. Getting to the beach by the ferry on the other side of the bay was an adventure in itself, the boys loved it.

The house is so big, the children could play table tennis and table football whilst we sun bathed by the pool in peace. The pool is huge and there are some pool toys for the children too. After supper the boys enjoyed the X box and Satellite TV while we stayed outside and enjoyed the stars shinning brightly, and the twinkling of the lights from the boats and the properties in the bay.

When we fancied a change of scene we went down to the little hotel in the bay and used their pool too.

We could have rented a car but there is a taxi rank down the road and we just called them up when we didn’t want to walk. Usually we walked down to the Bay and took the taxi back. Ask for Andrew he’s the best. He took us on a tour around the island, it was wonderful.

Paridise on earth

  • 5 of 5

Paradise on earth, the villa has fantastic views over Marigo bay, it is beautifully furnished and well equipt with every aminity. It is close to local shops and beaches but remains private and secluded. Perfect for families or a romantic get away. The pool is luxurious and has panoramic views over Marigo Bay. All the bedrooms are light, cool and airy. The kitchen, dinning area and lounge are all open plan, perfect for socialising. The propery is brand new this year and furnished to a high standard, I would highly recommend this property.
